Introduction

This programme has responded to the change in the sector by incorporating new elements of policy and skills and increasing options for students in the rapidly evolving environment of health and social care, and children and young people’s services. The aim is to develop a health and social care workforce that is capable of meeting strategic governmental goals and is prepared for an employment environment of multiple and diverse opportunities.

This programme is a recognised higher education qualification related to the health, digital health, and social care sector. It aims to provide you with progressive studies that have relevance to careers in the primary functions of care within the health and social care sector.

You will exercise investigative, reflective analytical and reasoning powers in context and be provided with the knowledge and skills to extend your study and training post-graduation.

Studying this programme will allow you to upskill if you are already working as a health and social care professional (thereby helping to alleviate the shortage of health and care professionals with level 4 and 5 qualifications) or prepare you to be part of the next generation ready for suitable and successful employment in the sector.

We also offer all modules through the medium of Welsh.
