Introduction
This programme’s primary aim is to equip you to join the health and social care workforce. We strive to train and develop a health and social care workforce capable of meeting strategic governmental objectives and becoming prepared for a lifelong career within the health and care sector.
The Digital Health and Care discipline has responded to marked contextual and strategic change in the field by updating programmes to incorporate new elements of policy and skills and to increase your options in the rapidly evolving environment of health and social care.
You will be provided with a higher education qualification related to management within the health and social care sector, through progressive exploration of topics that have relevance to careers in the primary functions of management.
This programme offers an opportunity for personal and academic development, respecting and building on prior relevant study or vocational experience. We aim to enhance your ability to exercise investigative, reflective analytical and reasoning powers in context and to provide you with the knowledge and skills to extend your study and training post-graduation.
We also offer all modules through the medium of Welsh.
PATHWAY OPTIONS
All of our programmes are offered FULL or PART-TIME.
We also offer two options for study over TWO or THREE YEARS – this depends on your own current level of qualifications and employment experience (see entry criteria below).
Please note that successful completion of a TWO YEAR programme leads to an unconditional one year ‘top up’ year of study in order for you to gain your BSc.

Overview
The course provides an overview of the merged health and care sector alongside specialist health management modules to upskill and progress you in the health and care sector.
Previous students have used this degree to gain entry into senior positions in their current roles within the public, private and third sector. Previous students have also used this course as a platform for further study.
We offer access to current key organisations and people within the health sector. We also provide a high level of academic support across the whole university to help strengthen your academic skills.

Entry Criteria
Please note that every applicant is considered individually. We may also make offers based solely upon your life or work experience.
For applicants wishing to study Cert HE (one year) or Diploma HE (two year) qualifications, an offer will be made based upon your educational and employment experience.
For those wishing to study the BSc (three years) you will need to have obtained a minimum of 88 UCAS points.

Assessment
Assessments include: essays, exams, reports, presentations, reflective blogs and professional portfolios.
You will be asked to utilise information technology communication and organisational skills for your assignments.

We link and work closely with public, private and third sector organisations and groups to provide opportunities for both paid and unpaid work for students.
