This practical activities programme will give you the confidence to anticipate problems and find solutions, to work independently and with teams across a range of creative industry skillsets, to plan and complete successful projects and to create, build and deploy mixed media assets for creative campaigns and events.

Overview
This programme is specifically focused on employability within the creative indudstries, ensuring that students are able to use real workplace experiences to inform their studies throughout each module. Outcomes include the creation of digital portfolios, through which students can demonstrate their understanding of key skills, concepts and processes for use at interview and to harness career progression.
The programme includes a final term Career Pathway and Industry Mentoring module as well as regular industry networking sessions and an annual employers fair held on site at Tileyard London and Tileyard North.
Modules
The programme is specifically created in its content and delivery to develop the skills that creative industry employers want and need. There are no examinations on this programme and all of the teaching is project- based, linking theory with practice and ensuring that each module is contextualised within real creative workplace situationns and challenges.

Term 1
The Creative Industry Landscape and Enterprise
The Creative Industry Landscape and Enterprise module provides a comprehensive and integrated foundation to the programme. It explores the multiple stakeholders and activities within the music, broadcast media, live events, design and new technology creative industry workplaces. Through discussion and real world case studies the module also reveals practical workflows, production cycles, timelines and shared skillsets.
Digital Media Skills 1
Upon the successful completion of the Digital Media Skills 1 module, the student should be able to harness the fundamental principals and practice of creative industry software packages including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premier, Blender and video editing skills.
Term 2
Challenge Analysis and Strategising
In the Challenge Analysis and Strategising module, the student describes a challenge, its nature, scope and impact; gathers and interprets information to solve a challenge; evaluates options to influence strategic decision making and plans, monitors and reviews the implementation and successful team communication and decisions.
Digital Media Skills 2
Upon the successful completion of the Digital Media Skills 2 module, the student should be able to harness the fundamental principals and practice of creative industry software packages including DAW Fundamentals, blog/vlog creation, website build tools and social media ad and campaign management systems.
Term 3
Managing the Creative Office Environment
In the Managing the Creative Office Environment module, the student harnesses the fundamental principals and practices of creative industry project and office management software packages including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Monday, Slack and Chartmetric.
Career Pathway and Industry Mentoring
Upon the successful completion of the Career Pathway and Industry Mentoring module, the student should be able to harness the core career pathway skillsets of personal development planning, CV and LinkedIn creation and management, showreel creation, interview technique, succeeding with work experience , freelancing, project specific workload management and industry networking techniques. The student will also complete a series of six 1-2-1 industry mentoring sessions and prepare a mentee development statement.
Entry Criteria
This programme is only available to Home applicants.
Entry onto the programme is by individual merit. Normally students under the age of 21 will have at least 1 A Level or BTEC National Diploma/Certificate or equivalent.
Mature Candidates – experience can often be taken into consideration in lieu of formal qualifications. Grades are important; however, our offers are not solely based on academic results.
We are interested in creative people that demonstrate a strong commitment to their chosen subject area and therefore we welcome applications from individuals from a wide range of backgrounds.
To assess student suitability for their chosen course we normally arrange interviews for all applicants at which your skills, achievements and life experience will be considered as well as your qualifications.

Assessment
There are a variety of assessments such as portfolios, career development plans, personal reflective statements, presentations, case studies, reports and blog posts. There are no examinations.
