Introduction

The digital apprenticeship programmes have been developed with the academic team in collaboration with employers to ensure they meet current career progression needs to match industry requirements.

These innovative programmes will help apprentices develop high levels of professional and technical skills through a combination of University study and work-based learning.

The study will be day release, block release or a blend of online learning and tutorials depending on the programme of choice.

These programmes have all been approved and validated by the British Computer Society while the Software Engineering programme has partial Chartered Engineer accreditation with the Engineering Council.

All programmes will lead to Chartered IT Professional Status (CITP).
The programmes have been approved by Instructus Skills for the Apprenticeship Framework FR04381.

A degree apprenticeship starts at Level 4 (HNC), however relevant previous experience and qualifications will be taken into account to ensure that you enter the programme at the correct level, whether this be at Level 4, 5 or 6.

Courses start in September each year and are run over an extended academic year studying 42 weeks of the year, undertaken on a day-release basis at our Swansea Bay campus.

There are six pathways available funded by the Welsh Government through HEFCW as part of the Apprenticeship Framework for Wales (FR05034).
